We've been mightily impressed with Olivver the Kid's recent output; since leaving The Neighbourhood and adopting his new alias, Bryan Sammis has grown in confidence with each juddering pop-soul number he's released. Sammis' second EP, The Boy Who Cried Wolf drops at the end of the week and true to form, 'BBBlue' - the latest track drawn from it - is a glossy electronic-tinted gem stoked up by his impassioned R&B vocals, glazed synths and pulsating beats. As drummer in The Neighbourhood, Sammis spent a lot of time in the backseat; it was only a matter of time before he found his feet as a solo star. - DC
